Yes. AI can help you research customer questions, organize search queries, improve a page, draft titles and explain performance reports. It works best when you give it accurate business information and real website data, then check its recommendations before making changes. It cannot promise rankings or tell you what customers search for simply by inventing a plausible list.

For a WordPress business, Niwa lets you edit website content through an owner conversation. You can identify the page, review the proposed wording and check what was saved. That gives AI assistance a practical place in your SEO work, alongside Google Search Console and your own knowledge of the business.

Start with a page that matters to your business

Choose one page that helps a visitor make a decision. A service page, product category or useful buying guide is often a better starting point than another broad article about your industry.

Imagine a cleaning company whose end-of-tenancy page does not explain whether oven cleaning is included. Customers keep asking, and the owner knows the answer. AI can help turn that verified information into a clear section. The improvement has a purpose even before you look at a ranking report.

Gather the current page text, the correct service details, common customer questions and any relevant Search Console queries. Remove personal customer information from the material you share. A page URL alone does not prove that an AI tool has read the page; ask it to identify the content it actually accessed.

Use AI for a specific piece of SEO work

AI is useful for several jobs, but they need different inputs:

  • To organize query ideas, provide your services, audience, location and existing query data. Ask which ideas share the same intent and belong on one page.
  • To improve content, provide the original page and approved facts. Ask for missing answers, unclear passages and a proposed revision.
  • To prepare metadata, give the page's actual subject. Ask for a descriptive title and a concise description that match what visitors will find.
  • To interpret results, provide dated exports and explain what changed. Ask the tool to separate observed changes from possible explanations.

Google's guidance on generative AI content describes research and structuring original content as useful applications. It also calls for factual review, including metadata and image descriptions. The tool helps prepare the work; evidence determines whether the work is correct.

Improve the answer before adding more words

An instruction such as "make this SEO friendly" gives the tool little direction. Use a brief that explains the visitor's decision:

"Review this end-of-tenancy cleaning page for someone comparing what is included. Use only the supplied service details. Identify questions the page leaves unanswered, recommend changes to the existing sections and flag anything that needs the owner's confirmation. Do not invent prices, customer reviews or search volumes."

Read the recommendations against your actual service. If oven cleaning costs extra, the page must say so. If the company serves only a defined area, an AI suggestion to add nationwide coverage should be rejected.

Keep each revision useful. A paragraph explaining the scope of a service can help. Repeating the town name in every heading usually makes the page worse for the reader.

Put the approved change into WordPress

In Niwa's owner conversation, specify the page and the section you want to change. For example: "On the end-of-tenancy page, prepare a clearer explanation of what is included using these approved details. Keep the existing URL and booking link."

Review the wording, headings and links before authorizing publication. Afterward, inspect the saved page and the public version on desktop and mobile. Check that a cache has not kept the old copy visible and that the next step still works. Niwa's website maintenance workflow explains this approach to scoped changes and verification.

A website built with AI has used AI during creation. An AI-powered website continues using AI after launch, including customer assistance and owner work. That ongoing role can help you maintain accurate content, but it does not make Google rank a page automatically.

Measure whether the work helped

Record the date, URL and exact change. In Search Console, compare the page's queries, impressions and clicks across comparable periods. Keep country, device and search type consistent where they matter. Then check whether the visitors who arrived made useful enquiries, completed bookings or bought products.

More impressions can be a useful early signal, but they are not revenue. A quieter page that brings the right enquiries may be more valuable than a popular article that attracts people outside your service area.

Allow enough time and data to judge the change. Google recrawling a page, seasonal demand and changes elsewhere on the site can all affect the result. A before-and-after increase alone does not prove that AI caused it.

What still needs an experienced person?

Keep human judgment for business positioning, original expertise, sensitive claims and decisions that affect many URLs. A migration, unexplained indexing problem or substantial technical change may need an SEO specialist or developer. AI can help prepare evidence and questions for that person.

Do not buy a promise that publishing more AI articles will guarantee traffic. Google's spam policies cover scaled content created to manipulate rankings without helping users, regardless of how it was written.
