Real WordPress admin guide
Install and configure Niwa AI from the actual plugin screens.
This guide uses screenshots captured from the live WordPress backend running Niwa AI 0.13.610. Private values are masked, but the screens, menus, controls, and modules are real.
Start here
Install the ZIP, activate the licence, then open Niwa AI.
- Download
niwa-ai.zipfrom this site. Do not unzip it. - In WordPress admin, open Plugins -> Add New Plugin -> Upload Plugin.
- Upload
niwa-ai.zip, click Install Now, then Activate. - When Freemius asks for the licence, paste the key from the email. The free licence is created for 14 days.
- Open Niwa AI in the WordPress sidebar and continue through the screens below.
Admin screens
Use these screens in this order.
Screen 1
Install Niwa AI
Download niwa-ai.zip, open WordPress admin, go to Plugins, upload the ZIP, install it, and activate Niwa AI. The screenshot below is the real Plugins screen after activation.
Screen 2
Connect authentication and models
Open Niwa AI -> Main Settings. This is where the plugin shows the active connection mode, founder agent model, RLM model, OpenAI/API-key fallback, Codex OAuth state, embeddings, indexing, and core model settings.

Configure the storefront chat widget
Open Niwa AI -> UI Settings. This screen controls language, greeting text, chat theme, flyout visibility, hidden pages, avatars, centerstage mode, launcher behavior, responsive sizing, and visible chat experience.

Set up the admin assistant
Open Niwa AI -> Niwa. This is the real Personal Assistant area for Telegram and WhatsApp access, runtime settings, performance, capabilities, history, avatar, model path, reports, and role-based access.

Control frontend agent rules
Open Niwa AI -> Frontend Agent Rules. Use this screen for the public assistant rules, sales behavior, product recommendations, allowed actions, and guardrails for customer-facing chat.

Read analytics
Open Niwa AI -> Analytics. The plugin tracks frontend events, chathead opens, chat messages, product card clicks, add-to-cart actions, recommendation performance, influenced orders, revenue, coupons, and recovery metrics.
Screen 7
Build from templates and snippets
Open Template Library and Code Snippets when you want reusable Elementor widgets, WordPress admin snippets, website snippets, visual apps, or prompt cards that can be reused in Niwa chat.
Screen 8
Capture attention and recover carts
Attention Capture, Conversion Busters, Leave Stoper, Lead Capture, and Cart Recovery are separate modules. Use them for on-site prompts, coupons, exit messages, lead forms, contacts, exports, and abandoned cart recovery.
Screen 9
Configure Bloging and MCP
Bloging contains image API keys, blog defaults, money-post settings, and publishing features. Niwa MCP exposes the WordPress MCP endpoint and token generation for MCP-compatible clients.

When something fails
Check the exact screen where the problem belongs.
- Licence: use the Freemius activation/account screen and paste the full key from the email.
- AI replies or models: check Main Settings authentication, selected models, API key/OAuth state, and indexing status.
- Frontend chat: check UI Settings, page visibility rules, cache, and whether the theme footer loads.
- Admin assistant: check Niwa setup, runtime, Telegram/WhatsApp access, capabilities, history, and role lists.
- Leads or recovery: check Lead Capture, Conversion Busters, Leave Stoper, and Cart Recovery settings.
- MCP: generate a token in Niwa MCP and use the shown endpoint with the required auth header.
