How to Test a WordPress AI Assistant Before Launch

Test Niwa's replies, product choices, cart and bookings on your website or WhatsApp. Verify saved records, mobile use, languages and customer access.

To test a WordPress AI assistant before launch, use the public customer interface and verify both its answers and the actions it offers. For Niwa, prepare questions with known answers, check the connected model and index, then test on desktop and mobile. Confirm the correct cart item or saved booking on the website or WhatsApp when those workflows are enabled.

An answering widget is the start of the check. A useful launch test follows a customer task from the opening question to its result. It also asks what happens when information is missing, an option is unavailable or the conversation needs a person.

Prepare controlled test data and expected results

Choose the workflows you actually plan to launch. A product store may need policy answers, a product comparison and variation selection. A service business may need service information and a completed reservation through website chat or WhatsApp. Do not add unrelated features to the launch just to make the test list longer.

Write down the source for each expected answer: a published page, product variation, service or availability record. Record the expected result of each action as well. This makes an inaccurate answer visible even when it sounds convincing.

Use staging or dedicated test records where possible. For a live-store cart test, stop before payment unless you have separately planned a controlled test purchase. For booking, use a permitted test slot and contact details you control, inspect the record and remove the test reservation through the normal process afterward.

Check the configuration that serves customers

Verify the Niwa licence and active connection in Main Settings. Save authentication, reload and confirm the intended Chat Model is selected. Review indexing progress and any service errors.

Check Frontend Agent Rules and the public widget settings. The Personal Assistant's Founder Model is separate, so a successful administrator reply does not establish the public customer's configuration. The Niwa setup handbook documents these controls and the pre-launch checks.

Your supported own-subscription connection adds no extra Niwa AI usage charges or Niwa-imposed usage caps, but the provider's allowance still applies. API-key connections follow their provider's API billing. Confirm that the account has enough allowance for the planned tests.

Test factual answers and a useful refusal to guess

Ask about a published policy, then ask a follow-up that changes a relevant detail. For delivery, that might be a different destination. Compare each reply with the actual conditions for that case.

Next, ask for a detail the source does not contain. The assistant should explain what it cannot confirm and give the configured contact route, rather than invent a date, product feature or policy exception.

Try ordinary wording and a paraphrase. The customer should not need an exact scripted sentence to get help. Include a short follow-up that depends on the earlier turn, and check that the assistant keeps the relevant context.

Keep the observed reply beside the expected answer so you can investigate a difference.

Verify product selection and the cart

Choose one product with options you can identify. Ask about an available variation and an unavailable variation. Inspect the returned name, image, price and choices against the WooCommerce records.

For the supported cart flow, select the intended option and verify the cart line: product, variation, quantity and amount. Then change or remove the test item and check that the store responds normally.

A recommendation, an opened card and a completed cart action are different results. Record the one that actually occurred. Niwa's storefront workflow explains how conversation and product choices fit together; use your store's actual records for the test.

Complete a booking on each customer channel

Check services, durations, team availability, breaks and time zone before testing a reservation. Choose an available slot through website chat or the website booking interface and enter the required test details.

Inspect the saved appointment. Confirm the service, time, time zone, team member where relevant and contact details. Check the configured confirmation separately. If an external calendar is connected, check its entry too.

For WhatsApp, use a test contact you control to ask about a service, choose an available time and confirm the booking in the conversation. Niwa uses your website's business information to complete that workflow directly on WhatsApp. Verify that the appointment record contains the agreed service, time and customer details, and check the confirmation the customer receives.

Use the Niwa booking workflow to identify the relevant setup. Test Google Calendar sync only if that separate connection is part of your launch.

Inspect mobile, languages and customer access

Open the website in a private browser window so you see the customer experience. Check that the launcher appears on allowed pages and leaves navigation, consent and checkout controls usable.

Open the panel, focus the input, read a longer reply and use the close action on a phone. Check links, product options and the booking destination. Include keyboard use and zoom where relevant to your visitors.

Repeat the prepared conversations in each launch language. Review labels, custom greetings and replies separately. Ask about the correct market conditions instead of assuming language determines destination or policy.

Confirm that customer conversations do not expose private credentials, owner notes or administration actions. Review Niwa's safety information and the connected provider's data settings. Use redacted test records when sharing an issue with your team.

Decide what is ready to launch

Keep a short record of the test, expected result, observed result and any unresolved issue. Launch the workflows whose facts and actions you have checked. Repair a failure at its source, then repeat the affected test and any related step.

After a model, policy, product or integration changes, repeat the relevant checks. Keep the record current for the customer tasks you offer.

If you need help reviewing your existing WordPress setup, contact Niwa with the website, intended task and the specific test that failed. Include the source record and observed result, with credentials and private customer details removed.
