An AI website can cost a few dollars a month on a prepaid builder plan, or come as a package covering the website and its ongoing operation. Niwa Business is USD 150 for a custom WordPress website or migration, hosting, maintenance and AI tools adapted to your business. The useful comparison is what each price includes and how the service is billed.

A site generated with AI and a site that uses AI to serve customers have different requirements. Before choosing a price, decide whether you need help creating the pages, an assistant that works after launch, or both.

Compare the price with the work included

These options were checked on October 9, 2026. They cover different services, so the figures below should be read alongside their scope and payment terms.

A builder subscription gives you tools to create and manage a site. A custom implementation also involves preparing the site for your business, connecting the functions you need and checking the customer journey. An assistant subscription adds another kind of service. Compare the tasks each option covers before calculating a total.

What does an AI website actually do?

A website built with AI uses AI during creation. The software might generate a layout, draft text or help write code. Serving those finished pages does not itself require an AI model to answer every visitor.

An AI-powered website uses AI after launch. It can answer business questions, help customers choose a product or book an appointment using the business's availability. That requires accurate information and the right connections to complete the task.

For example, a customer asks a service business which appointment to book. Niwa explains the available services, checks the connected schedule, offers suitable times and records the chosen booking. The customer can complete this workflow directly in a WhatsApp conversation or on the website. The business supplies its services, appointment lengths, working hours and booking rules. Niwa's customer and booking workflows.

That is the kind of workflow to describe when requesting a price. Specify the result you need, such as a recorded appointment, rather than asking only for an "AI website."

How your AI connection affects the cost

Niwa supports connecting your own AI subscription where the provider, account and connection are supported. On that connection, Niwa adds no extra AI usage charges and imposes no usage limits. Your provider's subscription price, allowances and account rules still apply.

An API-based connection is another option. If you choose it, the provider may bill model usage separately, including input, output and additional tools. That is a different billing arrangement from using a supported subscription. OpenAI API pricing.

Confirm the supported connection during setup and check what your existing account covers.

The costs to include in your budget

Website creation and adaptation

Include design, pages, content preparation and configuration. If you are moving an existing site, the work may also involve transferring content, setting up redirects and testing forms, products or bookings.

For an assistant, adaptation means preparing reliable business information and setting up the tasks it should handle. A shop needs accurate product descriptions, prices, stock and variations. A service business needs services and availability.

If you already have a WordPress website, you can install the standalone Niwa AI plugin. You do not need a new website just to use Niwa. Ask about the setup and licence appropriate to your existing site. Niwa installation and setup.

Hosting, domain and email

A publicly accessible site needs hosting, whether it was built with AI or by a developer. Hosting is included in Niwa Business and in the builder plans listed above. Count it once when comparing costs.

Check domain and email coverage separately, including renewals after any introductory offer. For WordPress, the hosting environment also needs to meet the software's requirements. WordPress hosting requirements.

Software and AI access

List any separate plugin licences, assistant subscriptions and provider costs. For Niwa, establish whether you are connecting a supported subscription or choosing an API-based arrangement.

For a service sold with credits, check how the selected model consumes them and what happens when the allowance runs out. One customer conversation may contain several answers, so a credit count alone does not tell you how many customers the plan can serve.

Maintenance and repairs

Maintenance is part of Niwa Business. Ask for the service scope, including how updates, repairs and support requests are handled.

For any WordPress site, important care tasks include updates, backups and checks that forms, checkout or bookings still work. WordPress recommends backing up both site files and the database. WordPress backup guidance.

Niwa can also help an authorised owner make supported content changes in WordPress, such as updating a service description or product information. Routine editing and technical maintenance are different responsibilities, so establish who handles each.

Calculate the total using the actual billing schedule

For a first-year comparison, add the work due before launch, payments due during the year and any separate licences, renewals or usage charges. Count included services once.

Request these details with each proposal:

  • The payment schedule and the work included in the quoted price.
  • Hosting, domain, email and software coverage.
  • Your AI connection and any provider costs outside the package.
  • Maintenance responsibilities and support arrangements.
  • Access to the files and data if you decide to move.

This lets you compare a prepaid builder, a custom implementation and a separate assistant using the services and payments each includes.

Keep running costs tied to useful work

Begin with a task customers regularly need, such as choosing a product or booking a service. Prepare accurate information and test the complete journey before adding more automation.

If you use a metered API, review actual usage and repeated failures that generate extra requests. If you use a supported subscription, work within the provider's allowances and check that the connection suits your workload. Remove overlapping subscriptions when they no longer serve a useful purpose.

Clear information on the website helps too. Visitors should be able to find delivery details or service descriptions without starting a conversation.

Can you move the website later?

WordPress has a documented migration process. You need the site files, database, access and a compatible destination. Check whether any plugin or builder functions depend on an active licence or hosted service. WordPress migration guidance.

For a proprietary builder, ask what its export includes. For a managed package, ask how handover works. Ownership and access belong in the proposal alongside price and maintenance.

Ask about the setup your business needs

For a new site or a move to WordPress, Niwa Business brings the website, hosting, maintenance and business-specific AI tools into the USD 150 offer. Existing WordPress owners can ask about adding the standalone plugin to the site they already use.

Request a Niwa Business proposal. Share your website if you have one, describe the customer task you want Niwa to complete and mention the AI subscription you would like to connect. Ask for the billing schedule, exact scope and any separate provider costs so you can budget for your own setup.
