Novamira vs Niwa AI: MCP Access vs a Complete WordPress Agent

Compare Niwa and Novamira: native WordPress agent, two MCP modes, WhatsApp control, site development, storefront sales and built-in scheduling.

Niwa AI gives WordPress its own working agent. Send it a WhatsApp message, ask it to change your site, and its native runtime can carry the job through inside WordPress. It also has MCP access for external agents, a Storefront Agent for customers, Admin Autonomy for site work, and built-in scheduling.

That is why Niwa is the more complete choice in this comparison. Novamira connects an AI client to WordPress through MCP or its CLI. Niwa includes that external access pattern and the agent that does the work. You can build with it, operate the site with it, and let it help customers buy.

Text your website. Niwa can get to work.

Suppose you are away from your desk and need a new section on a landing page. With Niwa configured in WordPress and your WhatsApp connected, you can send the brief from your phone. Admin Autonomy can inspect the page, use the site’s tools, make the authorized changes and check the result. You do not need to keep a separate coding app open to drive each step.

The same arrangement covers WooCommerce changes, publishing, site maintenance and follow-up tasks. WordPress is where the agent’s execution is coordinated. Your phone is an interface to it.

Niwa still needs a configured AI connection and working hosting. Its built-in runtime does not mean an AI model runs offline on your web server. It means the agent loop, tools and site workflow are already part of Niwa, so you do not have to assemble an external agent stack to get that behavior.

Novamira’s current connection model gives another AI client access to WordPress. Its Hermes integration can also bring that access to WhatsApp and Telegram, but Hermes supplies the continuously running agent. With Niwa, the native WordPress agent and owner messaging are part of the product.

Niwa builds and changes WordPress, too

There is no reason to divide this choice into “Novamira for developers, Niwa for business owners.” Niwa can do technical work as well as business work. Its site tools cover pages, posts, media, settings and WooCommerce. Its coding workflows can inspect the installation and implement changes within the access available on the host.

For Elementor, Niwa has tools to read the page structure, find widgets, update their content and styles, replace images, work with global settings and build editable page sections. It can create actual Elementor elements that remain editable in WordPress. Its template library can also support reusable elements and snippets.

Niwa works with the site’s existing themes, plugins and page builders. Its general WordPress and code access extends beyond a fixed list of integrations: the agent can inspect how a component works and use its data and APIs. Dedicated native tools make supported workflows more direct. A custom plugin or unusual builder still needs its own result checked; compatibility is not a promise that every third-party version has already been tested.

Novamira also offers broad technical access and specialized builder knowledge. That capability deserves an accurate description. It does not establish a development advantage over Niwa by itself.

Niwa’s MCP gives you two ways to work

1. Let an external agent hand the task to Niwa

Your MCP client can send a complete instruction to the native Niwa agent. Niwa selects the tools, executes the authorized work and returns a result. The external client can retrieve progress and the final answer. This is agent-to-agent collaboration: the WordPress side can reason about and carry out the task.

2. Let the external agent use Niwa’s tools directly

You can also keep the reasoning in your preferred external client and call Niwa’s native tools over MCP. That is useful when the client already has the brief, is coordinating several systems or needs precise control over individual operations.

These options use the same product capabilities from different entry points. You get structured WordPress and WooCommerce tools, development workflows and access to Niwa’s own agent. Direct deterministic tools do not need Niwa’s model to reason through the call; delegated work and generation still need the appropriate AI connection.

For a team wanting both direct tooling and a resident agent, this makes Niwa’s MCP offering more useful than a connection alone. See the Niwa MCP access information for current connection requirements.

Your sales agent is already part of Niwa

Niwa’s Storefront Agent works with the people visiting your site. It can guide product discovery, answer buying questions and present relevant items as product cards with images, prices and shopping actions. Customers can explore products within the conversation instead of receiving a plain list of links.

You can enable the customer-facing application when you want Niwa helping visitors and turn it off when you do not. Owner administration remains a separate role. Giving a visitor product advice does not give that visitor permission to edit the site.

For a WooCommerce business, the useful combination is the catalog tools behind the store and the sales experience in front of it. Niwa can support product updates, variations, stock, pricing, reports and customer conversations within one product. Its sales features also include lead capture and configurable follow-up workflows, with the relevant channels connected.

See the WooCommerce sales agent and WordPress and store operator for those parts of the system.

A scheduler for both future work and appointments

Niwa can schedule an action for later, run a recurring task, send a reminder or wake its agent to continue work. The scheduling system supports one-off, interval, daily and weekly schedules, time zones and job management. Ongoing checks can use the agent’s heartbeat workflow. You do not have to leave your laptop running to remember the next step.

Booking is another built-in part of Niwa: services, team members, working hours, availability and appointment workflows. It connects the visitor conversation to a real scheduling process. Recurring maintenance and customer appointments solve different needs, and Niwa provides both.

A practical workflow might combine a scheduled catalog check, an owner report and customer product guidance. Configure the task and delivery channel explicitly, then check its first run. A configured schedule is not proof that a particular message has already been delivered.

Why choose Niwa over Novamira?

Choose Niwa when you want an agent that can develop the site, manage it from your phone, work on a schedule and help customers on the frontend. MCP access is included in that broader system. You can use an external coding client whenever it helps, without making that client the only way work gets done.

If you already have an external agent with a reliable SSH and WP-CLI workflow, a separate WordPress connector may overlap with access you already own. A connector can still make setup or WordPress tooling more convenient. Niwa adds something beyond that connection: the native agent, owner channels, storefront and scheduler.

Our recommendation is Niwa for a complete WordPress agent setup. The reason is specific: it covers the external-agent workflow and keeps working as its own WordPress agent, with customer-facing functionality included.

Practical questions

Does Niwa require Codex, Claude or another external coding agent?

No. Niwa has its own agent runtime in WordPress. It needs a configured AI provider connection, but an external coding application does not have to drive the work. Niwa supports a Codex subscription connection where configured, as well as its supported provider options.

Is Novamira only MCP?

Its current offering includes a CLI as well as MCP, with skills and Pro specializations. Its core role remains connecting an AI client to WordPress. Calling it literally “MCP only” would miss those additions; calling Niwa merely another connector would miss most of Niwa.

Can both products reach WordPress from WhatsApp?

Yes, with different setups. Niwa connects owner messaging to its native agent. Novamira documents WhatsApp access through Hermes, which supplies the external agent and channel connection.

Can I keep Niwa’s storefront app off?

Yes. The frontend experience is optional. You can use Niwa for administration and development without showing the sales app to visitors.

Does this prove Niwa is faster on every task?

No timing benchmark is claimed here. The recommendation concerns product scope and architecture. Results depend on the task, model, site and enabled access.
